TL;DR

Murmur does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. All data stays on your device. We have no servers. We have no analytics. We have no ads. You owe us nothing.

1. Information We Collect

None.

Murmur runs entirely on your device. The app contains no account system, no login, no cloud sync, no analytics SDK, and no advertising frameworks.

2. Information Stored Locally on Your Device

Murmur stores the following data only on your device, using the standard iOS UserDefaults system. This data never leaves your device:

Your last sound mix (which sounds were active and at what volume)
Your favorite sounds
Your usage statistics (daily minutes, streaks, most-used sounds) — displayed in the Stats tab
Your breathing / timer preferences

You can delete all of this data at any time by uninstalling the app.

3. Permissions

Murmur requests the following system permissions:

Background Audio: So that sounds continue playing when the screen is locked. Sounds are generated in real time on your device; no audio data is transmitted.

Murmur does not request: microphone, camera, location, contacts, calendar, photos, health, or any network-based permission.

4. Network Activity

Murmur does not connect to the internet. If you see your device reporting network activity while Murmur is running, it is from iOS system processes, not from Murmur.

5. Third-Party Services

Murmur does not integrate with any third-party services, SDKs, analytics tools, or advertising networks.

We have no data to share. Even if we wanted to, there is nothing to sell.

7. Children’s Privacy

Murmur does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under 13. The app is suitable for all ages.

8. Changes to This Policy

If this policy ever changes (e.g., if a future version adds optional iCloud sync), we will update this page and notify you in-app before any change takes effect.
